“WHAT IS cross-connection?”
A cross connection is a physical connection between a potable water source & a potentially hazardous water source. Whenever a cross connection is created a backflow prevention assembly must be installed to insure the safety of the public water supply. The state of California requires backflow assemblies to be tested once per year.
